Details

Aside from the usual disk, Rick Dangerous contained the game instructions printed on the reverse side of a poster of a frame from the full colour comic book (contained inside the box, and available for download as a pdf file from this web site) telling the story up to the point where the game began.

The comic book was drawn (uncredited) by 2000AD artist Ian Gibson, who worked on Robo Hunter, Halo Jones and Judge Dredd amongst others.

Magazine adverts

The Rick Dangerous advert was rushed out to the magazines as soon as the ink was dry on the deal to buy Firebird, Rainbird and Silverbird from BT.
