The Wild Bunch - Memories

The Wild Bunch was submitted to Firebird by Kevin Smith in response to the initial Firefly Software advert published by BT in Spring 1984.

The majority of the game was played out on multiple-choice style screens, with the odd graphical screen thrown in to make it look a little more interesting. The only vaguely arcade element was when the player became involved in a shoot-out, and even then it was simply a matter of hitting the spacebar at the right moment.

However, there was enough to do in the game to keep most players busy for a while. The murderer changed each time the game was played, as did the town where the player would eventually catch up with them (assuming they survived long enough to get that far!). As with Viking Raiders before it, The Wild Bunch made a nice break from the string of arcade games that formed the majority of Firebird Silver's initial releases.
